Experiencing issues with Say, Pi? Here are solutions to common problems.

Microphone Not Working

  1. Check browser permissions
    • Ensure you've granted microphone access
    • Click the lock icon in your address bar to verify permissions
  2. Test your microphone
    • Try your microphone in another application
    • Make sure it's not muted in your system settings
  3. Reload the website
    • Disable other browser extensions, in case of a conflict. Some ad-blockers have been known to interfere with Say Pi.
    • Refresh the Pi AI website

Speech Recognition Issues

  1. Improve recognition accuracy
    • Reduce background noise
    • Position yourself closer to the microphone
  2. Language issues
    • Ensure you've selected the correct language in settings
    • If using auto-detect, try manually selecting your language

Text-to-Speech Not Working

  1. Check audio output
    • Ensure your speakers/headphones are connected and working
    • Verify volume settings
  2. Restart the process
    • Refresh the page
    • For non-English languages, ensure you've selected one of the multilingual voices from the voice menu
